Giving Thanks----Or Are WE?
|
Thanksgiving is approaching, when families gather to share a meal and happy thoughts and reflect on blessings. But, isn't it a shame that only one day is set aside for such a time as this. Every day should be Thanksgiving!! No matter what is going on in our lives, everyone can find a blessing in their life; something to be thankful for.
In this busy world we now live in, there is little time to even think about how blessed we are and how thankful we should be. It is so easy to gripe, and critisize and complain, yet it seems so hard to say how thankful we are for all the things in our lives.
It's only when we stop, have a quiet moment and think about even this past week, we can see that we have had blessings come our way that we should be thankful for.
Christmas is soon approaching and there is so many things that seem to take away from the real meaning of the season. Yet, please in the next month, take time to reflect back on this past year and count the things you truly need to be thankful for and how many things you can count as blessings. I know I can. I can't begin to even count them, even though our road this year has not been a smooth one. God in still in the blessing business,and we should stay in a state of thanksgiving all the time. The more thankful we are the more blessed we can be. Psalm 50:23 "He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright , who prepares the way that I may show him, to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God". Don't let another day go by without giving thanks for all you have been blessed with.

Miracles in Abundance

It has been some time since I have written a point of interest. Things have been very hectic in my life lately, however, I can still say our Lord is still in the miracle business.
My husband has been battling cancer for sometime now and the Lord has given him many good days. We are still believing for a total healing. My father lives with us also and is 91+ years. He has had very many health problems but still goes all the time and drives..IS that a miracle?? I too have been stricken by the enemy many times over the last few months but GLORY TO GOD, I'm not down and am a witness that God is sooooo good.
I have repeatedly stood on the Word of God and He continues to give us one miracle after another. Financially, we should be totally under, but through God's favor with so many people, we have been blessed with enough to meet our needs. I have not been working publically since February to spend some quality time with my husband and yet God has took care of so many things for us. Not with so much money but with things just being taken care of, including our health insurance through my work and I didn't have any vacation time to apply or I don't get a salary while out but yet time keeps appearing in my hour bank, just enough for each months insurance........now that's God!!!
So many times we've needed money for bills, or medications and just at the last minute, it would come and it's been in so many ways that I only know that it had to be God!!
He is so good and no matter what you are facing today, He can meet your need. He is an on time God.....never too late and never too early.. but always just on time...
I want to thank all those that have been used by the Lord to bless us in some way and all are great, even the webmaster and his wife of this website for all they have done for us.....I know that the Lord will return to them 100 fold for everything all have done.
As far as ministry, I know the Lord is getting me ready for a huge launch back into full time ministry. I so look forward to preaching and teaching His Word....that is my desire more than life itself. To be able to speak of His goodness and mercy is my heart's passion. If you have a need today, please feel free to email our address and we pray over everyone we receive. Know that God has miracles for you in abundance and they will come in ways you could never imagine. Just trust Him and believe that He loves you and knows your every need. If he has given us these miracles He will surely give you miracles beyond what you ask or think. Remember Mark 11:24 says, " And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive". Claim that in all things and watch the Lord work in your behalf....God bless and send your praise reports also so we may rejoice with you.

No Need to Fear: The Lord is Here!!!!!

There are so many things that are happening around us that would cause fear to overtake our lives. All the hurricanes that have brought unbelievable devistation to America; the earthquakes in Pakistan and surrounding countries; the severe mudslides in Guatamala and now the possible outbreak of pandamic Bird Flu. Do we not realize that these are simply tatics of the enemy to try to bring unmeasurable fear upon God's people?
We have a promise in the Word of God in Psalm 91 that says that though 1000 may fall at our side and 10,000 at our right hand but it shall not come nigh thee. This entire scripture in this chapter is contingent upon us remaining in His presence and completely trusting His Hand to keep us from falling whether it be by disease or natural disaster.
My 19 year old grandson, Nick just left for Iraq this week and I gave him a copy of the 91St Psalm to carry with him in his pocket all the time. I told him to read it several times a day, especially when he awakes and when he goes to sleep. This will build his trust in the words of the Lord to keep him safe.
We each need to do just that. There are so many other scriptures that offer us comfort and help build our faith and trust in the Lord, but this is my particular favorite. Why not try reading the 91st Psalm at least several times daily and even memorize it. Then, in difficult times and when we hear such horrible news over the airways, we can begin to quote the scriptures out loud. When we speak God's word out loud and we hear ourselves speak it,that is when it gets from our head to our spirit and then we believe it is true and immediately our spirit man rises up and says DO NOT FEAR!
Fear is the exact opposite of faith. Satan operates on our fear and the Lord operates on our faith. John 16:33 says, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace in the world. Ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". The Lord wants us to live in peace and not in turmoil! Another promise is found in I John 5:4, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith". It will be our faith in God's Word that will take us through any circumstance or situation we face. We must get to the realization that His word is more true than anything around us that is happening. There are so many miracle stories that have come out of the horrific situation in the Gulf Coast area. One after another have said it was the hand of the Lord that saved them.
The Lord wants His people to come together and begin to cry out for those who are lost in this dying world. The Christian World that is truly following the Lord is going to see untold blessings come, but not to squander on our luxuries, but to help others and promote the Gospel to others with what time we have left here on this earth.
I believe we are very close to the coming of the Lord. We will see much happen in the coming days and we can choose to walk in fear and be frozen in it, therefore not being any good to ourselves or others, or we can keep the Word of God in our spirit, walking by it daily and looking through eyes of faith in every situation. Do you know where the secret place of the Most High is? It is in His presence on a constant basis. It is knowing that His Spirit is with you and will lead you if you are trusting in His Word. Verse 2 of Psalm 91 says,"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him will I trust". WE MUST SAY, SAY ,SAY OF THE LORD, until we get that Word in our spirit and it is more real than anything we face.
We must begin to reach out to others with help and our prayers daily. It is only until we do that our faith will grow. As long as we sit in our own little comfortable world and say, Oh, isn't that awful!", we will never develop the faith and trust to help ourself and certainly not anyone else. When terror comes we will fall if we are not trusting in the Lord and His word.
I implore you to memorize Psalm 91, and not only be able to quote it from your head but listen to the words as you speak them and get them into your spirit so they are more real than anything you see, hear or feel. God's Word is our only defense against what is now happening in our world. Take up the weapons of your warfare----it is the faith and trust that only God's Word can bring to us.
God loves you and wants us all to be overcomers in this life and be His hands, His feet and His voice to a needy world. Will you prepare yourself so He can use you? He will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways and satisfy you with long life as He shows you His salvation.

Portals of His Glory

A few days ago I was riding in the car and I glanced over and looked up at the clouds that were beginning to darken, even though it was still light and late evening. To my amazement, there was a cloud that the sun was coming down through and it appeared to be stairsteps coming through the brilliant light that the cloud was projecting from the sunbeams. It was literally breathtaking. The picture I have included is not the one I saw but is close to give you an idea of what it looked like.
It seemed as if I heard the Lord speak and say," This is just one of my portals of Glory that I am now opening all over the world. My people are hungry for Me and I am opening up the portals and releasing My Glory like never before". I sat almost numb when I heard that (I wasn't driving by the way). I have sensed in my spirit that the Lord is about to do something beyond anything we have ever seen or heard. His Glory is about to burst out over every church body that is hungry for His presence and in places we would least likely expect it.
Are you hungry for the Lord? Do you want more of His presence on a daily basis? Do you need a miracle in your life or in the lives of your loved ones or friends? Then begin to ask the Lord to make you hungrier than you've ever been for Him. Ask Him to show His Glory and manifest miracles in your life.
We are so close to miracles every day. Many times we are snared by the words of our mouth and lack of faith. We get caught up in listening to the world instead of God's Word. I am very aware of what I am writing because I now am walking in this very thing now in my own life. We are beginning to hear of great meetings where God's Glory is being manifest and signs, wonders and miracles are taking place. Don't seek the miracle, seek the miracle maker. His name is Jesus and He is just a prayer away. Look up to the clouds, He might just show you in the natural what a portal from Heaven looks like in the spirit realm. I realize that was just a phenomenem of clouds and sun the other day, however, I believe the Lord showed that to me to explain what He is doing and about to do everywhere. The Lord has always spoken to me by examples and then explains what I am suppose to glean from it. Seek the Giver and not just the Glory. He is here, waiting for you to call on Him. Do it today, and then begin to expect the greatest outpouring of blessings, miracles and great wonders in your life. (Amplified Bible) Colossians:1:26-27 - The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations from angels and men, but is now revealed to His holy people, the saints. To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of (realizing the) glory.

2007 A New Year, New Beginning and A New Glory!

Happy New Year! Everyone I talk to seems to be anticipating great things in this new year...and prophets and ministers I've spoken with all seem to be hearing the same things in the Holy Spirit realm.....Glory, much Glory being opened up to the church and on the other hand be prepared for some storms of nature that will bombard our country this year... Not to bring fear upon us but the Lord always allows His people to prepare. Repeatedly God warned the prophets and ministers and even lay people about the hurricane that hit New Orleans but yet they did not prepare and many thousands were left homeless. I believe the volcanic activity will step up this year and the magnitude and intensity of storms will be felt across our US. There is such turmoil in our world today that the Word of God speaks of the earth groaning and I believe it is. If we won't praise the Lord even the rocks will cry out God's Word says.....
I truly pray that each one of us will seek the Lord and get hold of what He has for us to do this year and make it our priority to get on with it. If we are in the Lord's plan for our life and we are walking according to His word on a daily basis then we can ask protection and blessings of Him and receive.
Obedience and praise will be an important part of our lives this year if we are to walk with the Lord....We must hear His voice on a daily basis and be obedient to follow what we feel the Lord is telling us...We must also live in a sense of praise, continually. It doesn't matter what is happening around us, because we all have things we are dealing with, but we must constantly be in an attitude of praise and worship and when we do that we can't help but walk in love with our fellow man....
My desire is that each of you seek Him for your plans this year...Not New Years resolutions, but a plan from the Master to get you where He wants you to go this year and if we each do that then we will all be in the right place at the right time doing the right thing and we will all be blessed and be a blessing to all those around us.
God bless you this New Year and may you walk in God's blessings and mercy every single day and be the greatest blessing to others you have ever been.
